Pixelbrush Halloween-Event

Mon Oct 1, 2007, 4:05 AM

[ halloween: cute things that bite ]
"All Hallows' Eve is soon upon us, and we want you to prepare for your trick and treats by painting something cute that bites, set in a Halloween theme."

Dive into the underworld and find your inspiration. All Hallows' Eve is the night during which the division between the world of the living and the other world was blurred so spirits of the dead and inhabitants from the underworld are able to walk free on the earth. It is necessary to dress as a spirit or otherworldly creature when venturing outdoors to blend in. But you can still look cute, right?

Q: Can I use do 3D renderings for the events?
A: Yes, of course. As long as you can prove that you did the model during the step-by-step process.

So does that mean poser is out and only people who create their models can participate?

Oh I think I missunderstood you.

If you use poser and use it maybe as reference to create a painting (say paint more then 50% of it).

But "only poser" couldn't really be compared directly with other contributions :)

Oh so you have to paint - poser isn't considered on the same level then?

that's not what I said, we are just mainly a 2D forum :)
or like I said if poser is used as reference or base that is ok too

Ahh ok, no problem. You know how there's that fine line with Poser - it's pretty subjective, that's what I was asking. Your board looks great, though! I just happened upon it yesterday. =)

hey, noticed that you're not reading the Pullman trilogy anymore, now that you're done, what did you think? Hope all is well.

I liked the first book the best, the others weren't bad either.
The ending was...well very..disappointing and anti-climaxing for some reason. Still, I really enjoyed reading them and look forward to the movie A LOT.

yes I liked the first book most, and the last least. I 100% agree about being a bit disappointed, but like you, I'm still very much looking forward to the movie. Take care of yourself!
